Gharial
Gavialis gangeticus
A gharial is a type of fish-eating crocodile, known for its long, narrow snouts and a unique bulbous knob "ghara" on the snout of adult males. They live in groups and do not carry hatchlings in their mouth like other species. Gharials are highly aquatic and spend most of their time in large, perennial rivers with deep pools and sandbars.
