Walruses are large pinnipeds, primarily found in Arctic regions. They are known for their prominent tusk, long coarse whiskers and thick layer of blubber. Walruses spend time both on land and in the water. They are benthic feeders and can hold their breath for extended periods underwater. Walruses migrate seasonally for breeding.
