Peacock
Pavo cristatus
The peacock or peafowl is the national bird of India and is revered in Hindu mythology. The male peacock has vibrant blue plumage and long tail feathers. They are known for their loud calls and fan out their blue-green train of feathers to attract peahens in mating season. Peacocks are found in India, Sri Lanka and other parts of the world.
