Rattlesnakes are venomous North American snakes. The rattle in its name refers to the "rattle" at the tip of its tail, which creates a buzzing sound to warn predators. Rattlesnake also has a triangular-shaped head and a pit between its eyes and nostrils. They have a long history in folklore, often featured in native American cultures.
