Pigs are stout-bodied, short-legged animals with long snouts, thick skin and short bristles. They are raised for their meat, lard, leather, glue, fertiliser and some medicines. Pigs are known for digging and enjoy wallowing in mud. They live in herds and communicate through a variety of grunts. Pigs are found worldwide.
