The Aldabra giant tortoise is one of the largest and longest-lived land tortoises. It is the last extant species of a group of giant tortoises, known for its thick, domed shell and ability to live 150 years. Native to the Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles, the Aldabra giant tortoise inhabited the islands of the Western Indian Ocean.
